Winston Bennett

Winston Bennett, 1983 Mr. Kentucky Basketball, and wife Peggy are the 2013 Honorary Chairs for the Kentucky All Star Classic.   They will host the 2013 Mr. and Miss Kentucky Basketball Awards Ceremony.  This event is a fundraiser for the Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation which annually helps over 20,000 Kentuckians  receive quality eye care.

As we say in the world of basketball, the KLEF mission has depth and assists individuals to rebound from adversities association with vision.  When I was a young man, my mother needed eye surgery and then glasses.  This organization made that possible for her.  I hope you will join me on March 29, to celebrate the successes of the 2013 candidates and to support this great cause.

The Awards Ceremony will be held on March 29th, at the Seelbach Hilton Hotel in Louisville, with a VIP cocktail hour at 6:00 pm and dinner starting at 6:30.   Many former Mr. and Miss Kentucky Basketball recipients will be attending.  This will be an exciting and elegant evening with some of Kentucky’s greatest basketball players and fans.

To purchase tickets click here or call 1-800-232-5308 or 1-502-583-0564.

The top five candidates for each title will be announced soon.  At the Awards Ceremony each player will be recognized for their excellent high school career achievements and Mr. and Miss Kentucky Basketball will be announced.
